Mind Mapping

Mind mapping is an exercise to bring the hidden yet experiences/ visualized facts in front. To understand a reason for something happening around us, it needs to be understood for reasons thereof. The technique originated in the late 1960s by Tony Buzan Mind Maps are now used by millions of people around the world.

To start with mind mapping, all that one will need is:

  • A blank A1 sized paper (2′ x 3′)
  • Colour pens/ pencils
  • Draw lines organically
  • Your brain with experience
  • Your imagination
  • Think in a structured manner (the use of Six Thinking Hat is good)

Below is a presentation from Prof. Karmjit Bihola of Open Design School, GTU.

In no time, it becomes fun when done in a group of 3 to 4 friends together.

Refer to the website of Tony Buzan, learn_more who originated the technique around 1960.

Below are two presentations that help to dig deeper, the concept of Mind Mapping.
